A Tribute to Japan

In yet another endeavour to pay tribute to the country ‘Japan- the land of Rising Sun’ and the Japanese excellence in respect of science and technology, culture, tradition and art, Chiranjiv Bharati School, PV( Junior Wing) organized a special assembly with a series of themes and events on 28/4/11. The aim of the programme was to pay condolences to the Japanese people who lost their lives and families in the terrible natural calamity that hit Japan three weeks ago. The assembly began with a thought of the day followed by a brief description of the geographical features, climate, science and technology of Japan. The exhilarating dance performance by class IV C on the Japanese notes was the major attraction of the day. The audience remained spellbound by the performances of the students of class IVth. The best part of the show was the English play ’Yuuki and Tsunami’ by the tiny tots of class IV B bringing alive the characters of Grandfather ‘Hamaguchi Goei‘ and his son ‘Yuuki’
