CHIRANJIV BHARATI SCHOOL, PALAM VIHAR CELEBRATES INDEPENDENCE DAY
The 65th Independence Day was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic fervor on the 15th of August in the school premises. The grand celebration was spearheaded by the flag hoisting ceremony. Mr Vimal Yadav, Mayor of Gurgaon was the Chief guest and he majestically did the honors. He was accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Gurgaon, Mr. Parminder Kataria. The school Principal Mrs. Sangeeta Saxena welcomed the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and the distinguished guests and wished everyone a happy Independence Day.
A melodious group song presented by the students of junior wing paved the way for the extravagant cultural bonanza that was to follow. The senior students regaled one and all with their fabulous dance performance. This was followed by a breathtaking Kathak Dance performance by the students of T.D.P (Talent Development Programme) which enthralled the audience.
The school also acknowledged the achievers and the geniuses not only in the field of academics but also in the field of co – curricular activities. The prize distribution ceremony made way for the felicitation of the stalwarts of CBS PV.
The school Principal Mrs. Sangeeta Saxena explained the significance of Independence day and motivated the students to serve their motherland with vigour and enthusiasm. The Chief Guest Mr. Vimal Yadav appreciated the endeavour of the school in hosting such a grand function. He encouraged the students to uphold the sacrifices made by the martyrs and inculcate in them the right values to elevate their motherland to help her achieve perfection, glory and path breaking dignity. Mrs. Raka Kaul , senior Headmistress presented the vote of thanks and she also acknowledged the contribution of the parents and the teachers in making the show a grand success.
