Mother’s Day was celebrated at CBSPV on 9th May, 2011 with great reverence and enthusiasm. The proceedings started with a special morning assembly organized by the English Department of the School. To begin the program in an auspicious note a devotional prayer was recited by Nivedita Verma of Class X-C. This was followed by a melodious song presented by the students of CBSPV.
A touching gratitude note by Ojal Saharan Of class VIII-A touched the heart of everybody present. A skit was presented by the students which beautifully highlighted the multi-faceted personality of the modern day mothers. Raghav Malik of class XII-C paid a glorifying tribute to mothers all across the globe. More Songs upheld the theme and the spontaneous overflow of the melodious strains enthralled the rapt audience. Badges with floral motifs were presented to the teachers with the message of Happy Mother’s Day inscribed on it.

Children had poured out their respect and love towards their mothers with posters, paintings, and poems and these were artificially displayed in the display board. The principal, Mrs. Sangeeta Saxena facilitated some of the worthy mothers whose wards were the recipient of The 100% Attendance Award for the session 2010-2011. Gifts were presented to the mothers and Mrs. Sheetal Jain sponsored the gift hampers. Principal Ma’am in her speech emphasized on the contribution of the mothers towards motivating their wards and grooming them for a bright future. She reiterated the fact that mothers should always be loved and respected by all. To bring about a universal appeal, our children dressed up as mothers of different nationalities and adorned the stage. It was indeed a great Endeavour by the English Department headed by Mrs. Jyoti Sanoo to sensitize the children and make them appreciate their mother’s contribution in their lives being a pillar of strength and donning the role model’s cap .
