Cleanest Day Drive

Cleanest Day Drive

As a second initiative under the project, The Grand Banyan, We at Chiranjiv Bharati School, Palam Vihar Chose to clean the area in front of the residential colony of H Block, Palam Vihar, Gurgaon. This is the main road which passes, in front of Goddess Durga temple. The road passes through a railway crossing and goes to New Palam Vihar. Our school bus also passes through this area.
It is our fervent belief that goddess Durga leaves her heavenly abode to visit her folks at home. So, she alights for a ten day annual visit to enjoy herself amidst her devotees. The Hindus all across, pray with utmost devotion singing songs and chanting hymns in praise of Goddess Durga. In order to make her stay on planet Earth a memorable one, they initiate cleanliness drive. The beautification lends a glorious charm to our surroundings and also adds a special dimension to her stay in her paternal abode.
This is perhaps the most suitable time to initiate this cleanliness drive. Some of the students and members of staff very enthusiastically participated and helped in beautifying this area.
